According to [[Orc|orc]] mythology, the first chieftain wore the gauntlet of [[Umkebiku]]. More than just iron and leather, the gauntlet is imbued with Umkebiku's protective spirit. The gauntlet managed to survive the [[Mage-Rupture Event]] even when everything else in the chaos was reduced to ash and glass. It's survival made it even more of a unifying symbol than it already was and has become a reminder that the orcs can weather the storms and come back from any calamity.
