In 38:[[Calendar System|Rekindling]], the governments of all nations received unexpected emissaries from the reclusive [[Trog'cent]]. The [[Atpian|atpian]] emissaries were wearing their finest swamp attire, touring the capitals of all nations. Many leaders expected a change in [[Trog'cent]]'s stance, or some sort of news, but the emissaries kept their discussions to vague diplomatic talk and polite nothings. However, many officials overheard or noticed references and questions about the [[Unknown Wastelands]], land on the completely opposite side of [[Tuyin]] from where Trog'cent is.

These references piqued the curiosity and interest of every ruler and scholar. What were the [[Atpian|atpians]] up to? What had they discovered? A valuable treasure, or a threat? There were whispers about ruins under the sea near the wastelands, but the [[Atpian|atpians]] brought no proof.

The [[Elf|elves]] called their councils, the [[Dwarf|dwarves]] debated how to respond, [[Alkland]] began reinforcing their walls, and the [[Serpent|serpents]] increased security in their harbors. Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and months turned to years and still no one had determined why the emissaries had made their rounds around [[Tuyin]] or why they had a sudden interest in diplomacy or the [[Unknown Wastelands]].
