I write to you with glad tidings from the frozen north, where our expedition has borne fruit beyond our most ambitious hopes. Fort Frosthold stands complete, a beacon of elven ingenuity amidst the endless snows.

Our journey was fraught with perils, as you well know. Blizzards that could strip flesh from bone and treacherous glaciers that swallowed entire supply caravans. Yet, through it all, our resolve never wavered.

I am pleased to report that the establishment of Icehaven proceeds apace. What began as a simple outpost has flourished into a true settlement. The dwarven contingent, grumbling though they were about the cold, have proven invaluable. Their expertise in working stone has allowed us to build structures capable of withstanding the harshest arctic gales.
But it is our own people who have truly flourished here, my lord. Our mages have developed new forms of magic, drawing on the raw, primal energies of this untamed land. Spells of warmth and protection that laugh in the face of winter's fury. And our botanists! They've coaxed life from this frozen soil, cultivating hardy plants that may revolutionize our understanding of agriculture.

The ratori traders, ever opportunistic, have already established routes to our fledgling colony. Their caravans brave the ice fields, bringing much-needed supplies and carrying away the unique goods we've begun to produce. Frost-silk, ice wine, and crystals of unparalleled purity – already, these fetch high prices in the southern markets.

Most intriguing are the ruins we've uncovered beneath the permafrost. Ancient structures of unknown origin, predating even our eldest lore. Our scholars work tirelessly to decipher the strange runes that adorn these rime-encrusted walls. I dare say we stand on the brink of discoveries that could reshape our understanding of Tuyin's history.

There is, however, one matter of concern. Strange lights have been seen in the furthest north, beyond the charted territories. Ethereal auroras that dance with unsettling purpose. Some of our scouts speak of whispers on the wind, of shadows that move against the blowing snow. I have dispatched a team to investigate, but I advise caution as we push further into these uncharted lands.
