Illusory demons primarily reside within the Essence Weave and are the creation of Ralnafelats. They are masters of deception and weave illusions so real that their victims cannot tell the difference between them and reality.
Illusory demons can bend what their victim sees, hears, and feels. Some scholars speculate that they are after souls, attempting to lead people into the Essence Weave to feast on their confusion and despair, while others think it is just a game to them. Even once someone has escaped an illusory demon's grip, most report a sense of doubt of their reality and that they struggle to tell what is actually real.
