Oldmason was originally a fort constructed by [[Pirtair]] to train their own legion of battlemages. The walls and gates of the fort are covered in layers of sigils and runes from mages practicing their defensive craft. In the courtyards, mages practice their skills and non-mages learn how to counter the abilities of mages. Training focuses on breaking down barriers and encouraging teamwork both during and outside of combat. Outside of the walls, the family of the mages and soldiers have settled down and started a life, with markets, farms, and various districts appearing around the large fortress. Although Oldmason no longer serves in a true defensive capacity, its walls could still withstand a siege long enough for reinforcements to arrive. | |||
