Fort Anair is perched atop high ground in western Alkland near the border with Elori and it was built to make a statement against their historic foe. The fort itself is made from stones from the nearby mountains and the walls are thick enough to endure just about any physical punishment. The battlements give the defenders a good view of the surrounding area and they can see enemies in nearly any direction long before the invaders would be within range to attack. The inside is crawling with soldiers. Training is non-stop with combat practice and warfare tactics and they are constantly ready for war. Soldiers stationed at Fort Anair also train with enchanted weapons glowing and sparking to give them an edge against the Elori battlemages.

There is a strong sense of comradery in Fort Anair. The soldiers train, eat, and live together in close quarters. In the evenings, off-duty soldiers gather in the main hall to share stores and sing songs of great battles and the heroes of old.
