Mystwraith

Mystwraiths are found in the Snakevalley Islands when the mist is most prominent. They're said to be the spirits of poor souls who lost their way and are now doomed to wander for eternity. They are not evil or kind, but simply caught between the mortal world and the afterlife.

The serpents take mystwraiths seriously and consider seeing one to be a bad omen. They believe that these spirits can stir the tides and thicken mists just by being present, something that no serpent sailor wants. Sailors have taken to leaving offerings for the mystwraiths, such as trinkets or small pieces of food in hopes of safe passage.
