The dwarves, having master a variety of environments to build under, constructed Girnebidoe - a hold within the swamps of Trog'cent. The halls of Girnebidoe were marvelous and weighted in such a way that its entrance would never sink or flood.

Although the dwarves saw their effort as a gesture of friendship towards the atpians, the atpians thought otherwise. The atpians saw the unnatural, foreign stone as an affront to their swamp. They requested the dwarves of Girnebidoe to abandon their construction and leave. The dwarves refused, stating that they had just finished the final touches and had no intention of giving up on their hard work.

The atpians attacked Girnebidoe, using the mists and water as their cloak. The hold was built to withstand sieges, but the atpians knew how to use the swamp to find its weaknesses and crack the gates open. In 354:Conquest, Girnebidoe fell and the dwarven dream of trade and cooperation sank into the swamp as the atpians flooded the tunnels. The dwarves fled and their new hold is now nothing more than an underground, underwater ruin.
