Piderasin Crystals

Found in the frozen caverns near Icehaven, Piderasin minerals imbued with magic creates piderasin crystals. Initially, the mages investigating the mineral thought they had found the greatest remedy ever. Piderasin crystals make the user incredibly alert and stronger than normal. A few uses won't hurt the user, but after several times - regardless of how long time has passed since the last time - will leave them a hollow shell with a cracked, broken mind. Every nation has forbidden the crystals, and Elori has allowed only a small team of mages to continue investigating it. That said, enough of the crystals escaped during initial discovery that it is common in the underground markets of most cities.
