Celestial Prophecy

For a period of a several weeks, the night skies over the Snakevalley Islands were unusually dark and gloomy, especially for the time of year. To the serpents, it was a sign. The priests gathered in their temples and chanted and burned incense.

Suddenly, several priests began having what they claimed to be prophetic dreams, discussing alliances and trials. In 112:Discord, the serpent port city of Nefiks was opened to outsiders as a trading post. The Serpent Theocracy began investing in merchants and diplomats and opening up to the world just a little bit.

Although the other nations are often trading at Nefiks now, many are wary behind the reasoning - is some deceptive plan in place, or did something actually scare the serpents out of isolation?
