The Stoneborn Syndicate is considered the ultimate master's guild of dwarven craftsmanship. They have their fingers in nearly every vein of metal and pocket of gemstones throughout the Dwarven Holds. In addition to extraction, the syndicate understands the need for preservation and works to keep the mountains they dig in healthy and stable.

The jewelry and decorative items that come out of syndicate workshops are often too expensive for the average dwarf, and they have a way of coaxing beauty out of ordinary stones.

The Stoneborn Syndicate is also heavily involved in the armor and weapon industry, too, and the Iron Circle is their biggest competitor. Compared to them, the syndicate is seen as respecting the stone they mine from and appreciating the earth, imbuing all Stoneborn-forged arms and armor with the soul of the mountains they were forged in. They are a strong source of pride for the dwarves, and their perceived values and morals have made them very popular in Elori and, to a small extent, Trog'cent.
