North Snow Expedition

After a century of hesitancy when it came to exploring, Elori decided it was time for another expedition and that it would be the northern portion of Tuyin, a frozen wasteland that the elves speculated may have valuable resources. Having largely recovered from the effects of the Knife-Ear War and the Pirtairi Invasion, Elori believed it would also be a subtle show of their strength and resources.

In 3:Rekindling the expedition had reached its furthest point where they would have to return or risk running out of supplies. There, they established Fort Frosthold for future occupation as their northern foothold.

Following the initial expedition, many smaller expedition were sent to find alternate routes and missed findings between the then-borders of Elori and Fort Frosthold. These expeditions led to the founding of Icehaven near Fort Frosthold. Icehaven was a revolutionary settlement, using elven magic and human stubbornness to grow crops. Dwarves began building underground structures for storage and emergencies, and the ratori established a trade route to keep the area supplied.
