Pirtairi Invasion
Following the Castlerock rebellion and Pirtair's independence, the Pirtairi began planning their revenge and invasion of Tuyin - specifically Kehlvan, as they believed Elori had not invested significant resources in maintaining the colony because of their own weaknesses. The war took place from 118-121:Discord.
The initial invasion saw the sacking of Fort Hum, but did not make it much further due to the sudden involvement of the dwarves of Snowstone. They staged another assault from what is now known as the Dead Islands and began their siege of Fort Rat, near Chiru. Elori was able to repel the invaders from Fort Rat and chased them back to the Dead Islands. Unlike their truce with Alkland, Elori decided it would be best to establish their strength against Pirtair.
Unfortunately, the Elori army walked into a trap in the Dead Islands and were massacred. Pirtair thought that they had one the battle and messengers sent word to resume the siege of Fort Rat, but then an Elori mage-commander brought the island mountains down around them, causing the valley to be renamed the Valley of the Lost. The destruction was indiscriminate, and both sides were utterly destroyed.
In the end, the willingness to sacrifice and cause such a scale of destruction caused the Pirtairi Invasion to collapse - soldiers and officers alike were too afraid to engage in battle out of fear that Elori would scorch the battlefield if it came to it. Elori's military was in tatters and its fortresses crumbling, but Pirtair had learned that Elori would not give in so easily.
