Castlerock Founding and Rebellion

Castlerock was established in 78:Discord as a joint international effort by all nations, even the Serpent Theocracy and Trog'cent. Alkland and Elori felt it would be a solid step towards normalizing relations between the two. Elves, dwarves, humans, orcs, serpents, ratori, and atpians colonists were all found at Castlerock.

Initially, cooperation and agreement was high with all nations bringing their best strengths to the table. Eventually, however, several nations felt that they alone should colonize the whole of Ardred and soon armies and navies from several nations set a course for Castlerock.

The colonists of Castlerock, certain that any war would destroy the city, decided that they would be better off independent of any nation. They dug into their town and fortified, planned, and prepared for the final battle that would be fought at Castlerock. The attackers had numbers and training to back them up, but the colonists had their ideals and home to fight for - along with a growing spite and malice for the world.

The colonists pulled a stealthy move and used hidden tunnels and surprise attacks to chip away at the invaders. In the end, Castlerock stood and the invading nations cut their losses. Castlerock became a legend and the nation of Pirtair was established soon after.
