Shadow Quartz

Shadow Quartz is found in the deepest pits of the Dwarven Holds and, to a lesser extent, within the jungles of the Snakevalley Islands. The quartz is absolutely and utterly black. With a master jeweler, the innate connection to the Essence Weave that black quartz can be activated and it can whisper vague promises, suggestions, and ideas. It is commonly found in the scepters of serpents, and mages seek it out hoping to get an edge. The rest of the world, however, feels that it is a doorway to unknown forces not to be trifled with.
