Amethyst Preserver Investigations

Ahaf,
I write to you from the edge of our known world, where the whispers of the unknown grow ever louder. Our sacred duty as Amethyst Preservers compels me to share my findings, inconclusive though they may be.
Regarding the Unknown Wastelands, our scouts report phenomena that defy explanation. Landscapes shift like mirages, and time itself seems to flow differently there. One expedition returned claiming they had been gone for months, though barely a week had passed for us. Another hasn't returned at all. The atpians' cryptic warnings about this region bear investigating, but caution is paramount.
The Sundered Lands continue to pulse with residual magic. Our mages describe it as a wound in the Essence Weave that refuses to heal. Strange creatures roam the wastes. More disturbing are the whispers our sensitives hear on the wind - echoes of the past, or portents of a grim future? We cannot yet say.
The North Snow Expedition's discoveries are equally perplexing. The ruins they've unearthed predate any known civilization. The runes resist our best efforts at translation, but their power is undeniable. Several artifacts recovered have exhibited properties that violate the laws of magic as we understand them. I've instructed our researchers to handle them with the utmost care.
But it is [[The [[The Shadow Clouds|Shadow Clouds]]|the Shadow Clouds]] that trouble m. They spread like a cancer across Tuyin, bringing with them a dread that even our Amethyst blades struggle to dispel. I cannot shake the feeling that these are all connected somehow - the Wastelands, the Sundered Lands, the ancient ruins, and now these unnatural clouds.
In my darkest moments, I wonder if Umore has found some new way to initiate another Purge. The signs are troublingly familiar - the corruption of the land, the whispers of doom, the creeping shadows. Yet the pattern is different enough that I hesitate to raise the alarm without more concrete evidence.
I must stress that these are merely observations and theories. We lack the crucial pieces to complete this puzzle. I recommend increasing our vigilance across all fronts. Every scrap of information, no matter how seemingly trivial, must be analyzed. We cannot afford to be caught unawares if the worst should come to pass.
May the light of our Amethyst blades guide us through these dark times.
