Trade Routes

From Tuyin Archives

Although there are a significant number of trade routes throughout the world, these are the major trade routes and common black market routes.

Major Trade Routes

  • Elori-Dwarven Trade Route: This is the lifeblood of commerce between the Dwarven Holds and Elori. The dwarves send their finest weapons, armor, and crafts in exchange for Elori foods and mystical trinkets.
  • Serpent Theocracy Maritime Route: This maritime route docks in several places. Originating from Nefiks, this route takes serpent merchant fleets to Rivelgin and Chiru, then all the way to Az'gith, back down to Ethwin and Castlerock, then Kaznew before returning home.
  • Ratori Trade Networks: This isn't a specific, defined route but all major ratori trading goods tend to come to Chiru where they will then sell their goods or ship them off somewhere else.
  • Alkland-Orsia Trade Passage: Orsia sends raw materials and crops to Alkland in exchange for finished goods and military gear, with most trades occurring between Secoa and Az'gith specifically.
  • North Snow Expedition Route: Icehaven and Fort Frosthold ship out rare minerals and frost-proof crops back to Rivelgin and Snowstone in exchange for more gear and innovative technology.
  • Komfre Plutocracy Routes: Several overland routes are now considered "Komfre" routes because they often stop in the city-state to offload smaller or more questionable goods and resupply.

Black Market Routes

  • Mistwalker's Trail: The Mistwalker's Trail route starts in Trog'cent and moves through Orsia, before heading far southwest into Pirtair. This route usually hauls swampveil brew and other swamp herbs and atpian relics.
  • Shadow Path: Moving from the Serpent Theocracy into Pirtair, and then into Alkland and finally Elori, smugglers on the Shadow Path primarily carry shadowpoint venom, serpent relics, and strange, "exotic" creatures.
  • Twilight Caravan: The Twilight Caravan route moves from Elori to Alkland and ends in Pirtair. Smugglers taking this route often carry gasupte balm and stolen elven artifacts.
  • Understone Network: A network of caves connected to the various tunnels of the Dwarven Holds connects to Elori and Alkland, and dwarven smugglers bring ember ale, rare metals, and banned enchantments through these unofficial, natural roads.
